Sailing in New York Harbor

Here's a shot of the Frank Gehry designed building affectionately known as The Sails. Here's a very nice interactive website about the design (click here). The video animation shows the importance of 3D modeling to his work and is the same sort of process we follow when designing boats, although the computer program they use is even more sophisticated and developed in-house.

It's nice to see this modern building with its sailing motif when out on the water. Here's another shot.
